THE YOGA INSTITUTE OF MIAMI STAFFBobbi Goldin has been the director since 1978. She was certified as Intermediate Junior, by Mr. Iyengar, in 1983. She feels it vital that "We do Yoga to quiet the mind and soothe the heart, so each day is a gift". Bobbi is known to teach with great support, challenge and humor, so everyone's needs are met. She has been a T.M practitioner since 1994 and continues to be a student of Yoga and life. She is strongly influenced by Ramanand Patel and John Schumacher. Jeaneen Bell began practicing the art of Yoga in 1971. "Yoga is a gift with which I spoil myself. It is wonderful watching students grow stronger and more flexible, as they evolve in their practice" Yael Ben-Chanoch began her Yoga practice in 1999 and attended the 2002 Teacher Training Course. "Yoga is a lifelong process of learning and has become part of my daily life. I find it challenging and interesting. I love that I can practice anywhere, anytime and at any age". Diane Beverley has attended and taught our classes for over 13 years. She blends patience, humor, and clarity to make classes special for all. "Yoga brings strength and flexibility to the body, tranquillity to our daily lives, enhancing the physical, emotional and spiritual self". Donna Bond's practice began in Mexico, in 1999; she began teaching in 2005. Her background includes ballet, competitive sports and martial arts. Physical injuries led her to Iyengar Yoga. "Asana practice builds strength and flexibility, while cultivating a deeper sense of balance and peace." Valerie DeWitt uses her gentle approach when sharing the mental, emotional and physical balance Yoga brings to her life. She is especially committed to her children's classes, which offer them a healthier, happier future. Valerie is a Certified YogaKids Facilitator. Liora Haymann comes from Chile, where she studied dance and then moved on to Yoga. "Yoga is an unending exploration of body, mind and spirit. I love to challenge my body's boundaries and reach the silence and quiet of mind that comes with it. The more I learn, the deeper the well of wisdom seems". Liora recently qualified as an Iyengar Certified Teacher in Training. JoAnn Sheehe - "A deep personal loss brought me to Yoga five years ago. What surprised me was the physical strength and flexibility I have acquired along the way. The Yoga journey is creating for me a healthier, blanced life style."
Assisting and Substituting WHERE WE ARE9350 So. Dadeland Blvd. #207, Miami, Fl. 33156. When on U.S. 1, turn north on Dadeland Blvd., which is one traffic light south of N. Kendall Dr. (88 St.), at the next traffic light, So. Dadeland Blvd., turn west, there is a Marriot Hotel on the corner. Follow So. Dadeland Blvd. as it winds around and travels west under the expressway and enters the Dadeland Towers complex. Free parking is available in the parking garage connected to the 9400 Building, just south of our building or follow the driveway between 9200 and 9300 to our two story building 9350. Free valet parking is recommended during weekday mornings. Security is not a problem.
