Teacher Training Course
This special intensive course is designed for teachers and serious students
who are drawn to sharing the joy of Yoga with others or who really want to
know more about Yoga for themselves. The BKS Iyengar method of asana fundamentals
will be the basic core of the course. An advanced personal practice is NOT
necessary to benefit from this week. Those already teaching will learn a
broader awareness of the poses and will be able to teach with more knowledge
and confidence. Serious students will gain an expanded understanding of ther
own body and how it functions in the postures.
Schedule
Each day trainees will participate in a four hour teacher training session,
plus attend at least one, regular, Yoga Institute class. Included will be
one or two beginners classes, providing the oppurtunity to see how to teach
a large introductory class successfully. In the training sessions there will
be observing, participating as a student, assisting and teaching. Each student
will receive peer feedback in a supportive and encouraging manner. There
will be required reading, class planning, posture study, anatomy as it relates
to Yoga, and learning appropriate hands on adjustment. The first session
is Saturday, October 30, at 4:00 pm. The last session ends late on
Saturday afternoon, November 6. It has become a tradition for the
group to be together for dinner that last evening. It is wise not to plan
anything else during this week, as the course requires full attention.

I came to the Teacher Training Course with
a tentativeness about my ability to assume the role of Yoga Teacher. But
having learned so much in the training week (it was brilliantly designed
for efficiency), I now feel a confidence that surprises me. I realize it's
OK to be a novice teacher.
Carol Cook, Princeton, New Jersey
My week long Teacher Training with Bobbi
was a pivotal point in my personal practice. The classes, workshops and Teacher
Training continue to be a source of inspiration for me, both personally and
professionally. I highly recommend this course to anyone aspiring to teach
or deepen his or her personal practice.

With the same sure hand that shapes our asana, Bobbi Goldin unlocks the
teacher in us.

Being presented a vast amount of information
and knowledge spiced with humor and understanding has opened new doors to
my practice and teaching. I will do it again.

Bobbi Goldin's Teacher Training was the first
training I attended in the Iyengar tradition over 10 years ago. That experience
not only allowed me to become a better teacher, but truly inspired me to
be a better student. Bobbi teaches with beauty, grace and clarity that should
not be missed by serious students and teachers.
